You Only Think God Is Silent
We all have those moments where we encounter pain, grief, and struggles and wonder why God would allow this. We have heard those semitheological platitudes about our struggles and questions. I experienced those when my husband of fourteen years was buried alive on a work site. I learned what it was to stand at a crossroad generated by tragedy and make a choice.
That moment was a defining moment in my life. I could either ignore God and blame him for the tragedy or rely on God to sustain me, transform me, and reconstruct my life as I passed through this profound tragedy. I wrote about God's voice, provisions, and how I eventually chose divine happiness by the hand of God.
If you have ever asked; Where was God? Why did God allow this? Why can't I hear God? Then reading You Only Think God Is Silent is a wonderful place to discover ways you can turn to God and hear the answers to those questions.

The Battle Worth Fighting
When we first become parents, we don't imagine ever being single parents. Regardless, this is where we are. Instead of evaluating God's love based on your circumstances, evaluate your circumstances through the lens of God's love. This is what it is to co-parent your children with God.
The Battle Worth Fighting is both a practical guide to approach the challenges of raising children in this current culture with the social influences they face, as well as a guide to spiritual development and growth for your children and you. Let God be the authoritative parent for your children. Establish the boundaries you know God is leading you to establish. Place your priorities where God is leading you to place them. Your prayer request is to hear his call and move in the direction he leads. This is a game changer.
Instead of seeking the path to acclaim and earthly accomplishments, we seek what God values and wants for us and for our children. This is what provides the foundation for how you parent your children and who you teach them to turn to as the authority in their lives. God is calling us to invest in our children so they can become who God had in mind when he created them.
